Infostealers have also surged, with 146,738 new malware variants detected in 2024, leading to 539 French companies suffering data leaks. Meanwhile, AI-powered DDoS attacks are growing, with 400,000 incidents per month in Europe, leveraging massive botnets to overwhelm networks.

Geopolitical tensions have made France a primary target for hacktivist groups, with coordinated DDoS campaigns from entities like Holy League, NoNames05(16), and Anonymous Guys.

As cybercriminal activity intensifies, cybersecurity must become a top priority for businesses and governments. Future reports from Almond will delve into new cybercriminal tactics, geopolitical impacts, and 2026 predictions.
